Personal Data We Collect

We may obtain personal data about you from various sources, whether online through the Website or offline.

(A) Personal Data Collected Online

We may use the personal data we obtain through the Website to record and support your participation in the activities you select, and administer your relationship with us. For instance, we may use such personal data to:

  • Register your license and rights, if any, to technical support, upgrade discounts, or other benefits that may be made available to registered users;

(B) Personal Data Collected Offline

We use personal data collected offline in accordance with the following principles:

  • We use personal data collected from a Customer for no other purpose but providing the Services to such Customer. We may also use anonymous data, such as any technical information or feedback regarding its products and related issues obtained from Customers in connection with the performance of Services, for our internal business purposes, including for the purpose of updating, modifying, enhancing and/or marketing and selling our products or services.  
  • We may, within or (subject to obtaining consent or ensuring adequate protection as set out below) across national boundaries, share personal data with authorized contractors.  However, we will only provide contractors with the minimum amount of personal data necessary to provide the Services on DataCore's behalf.
  • DataCore's contractors are not permitted to use personal data except for the limited purpose of completing the requested Services and we have taken steps to ensure that each contractor shall ensure your personal data is kept secure.

 

In relation to other personal data collected offline, we may use such personal data for those purposes (as applicable) for which we may use personal data collected online and for all other lawful purposes.

Personal Data We Share

We do not disclose personal data about you except as described in this Privacy Policy. 

We may share personal data within or across national boundaries with our affiliates, distributors, resellers and other trusted business affiliates, who may use that data for purposes including sending you relevant marketing and other communications regarding our products and services. We may also share your personal data with vendors and third party service providers who assist us with the operation of the Website, as well as our sales and services.  We will always take appropriate steps to ensure that any third party with which we share your personal data will keep your personal data secure.  We will only transfer your personal data outside of the European Economic Area where we have received your consent to do so or where there are adequate measures in place to ensure your personal data is kept secure at all times.

As our business evolves, we may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of our assets, including personal data in connection with a merger, reorganization, or sale of assets, or in the event of bankruptcy. In such an event, the information collected about you, whether personal data or anonymous data, may be one of the assets transferred.

Customer Data that Does Not Constitute Personal Data

Unless we expressly inform you otherwise, we will also collect, use and share Customer Data that does not constitute personal data in accordance with the same standards set out in this Privacy Policy for personal data.

Marketing Communications

Although most Customers and partners appreciate receiving notices from us, we appreciate the importance of providing you with choices. You may request to "Unsubscribe" at any time after receiving a marketing communication from us. All marketing communications that you receive from DataCore will instruct you how to decline further marketing communications from us.

Microsoft Bing Conversion Tracking

 

We place advertisements on the Bing platform to deliver value to people searching relevant topics. We are using Bing conversion tracking to record the success of those advertisements. According to the Bing Ads privacy policy, "any information that is gathered will remain anonymous and cannot be used to identify you."

LinkedIn Conversion Tracking  

We place advertisements on the LinkedIn platform to deliver value to people searching relevant topics. We are using LinkedIn conversion tracking to record the success of those advertisements.

Facebook Conversion Tracking

We use a technology called Facebook Conversion Tracking. This allows us to track those visitors who have been referred through a Facebook page, application or advertisement and then contacted us through this website within a 30 day period.

We will share information regarding your visit to our website with Facebook but this will not include any information specific to your application or other personal information. Facebook will use this information to monitor on our behalf the effectiveness of our advertising and applications.

The information we share with Facebook will only be used in accordance with Facebook’s data use policy www.facebook.com/about/privacy. Facebook Conversion Tracking may also enable us to serve ads on and off Facebook.

Twitter

We may use Twitter’s universal website tag, conversion tracking and tailored audiences products.  Those technologies collect information through their application for purposes of conversion tracking and serving ads targeted to users’ interests. These technologies do not collect personal data.

Spiceworks

We use the Spiceworks conversion tracking pixel to better understand how valuable our advertising and organic content is on the Spiceworks network. This pixel does not track or contain personal data and is only used to help us with analytics from users who come from the Spiceworks site.

Security: How We Protect Personal Data

All personal data gathered on the Website is stored within a DataCore-controlled database accessible only to DataCore and its specifically authorized contractors. However, as effective as any security measure implemented by DataCore may be, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the complete security of our database, nor can we guarantee that personal data you supply won't be intercepted while being transmitted to us over the Internet. If you don't want us to know any particular information about you, don't include it in anything that you submit or post to the Website.

Children's Privacy

We do not direct our Website to children under the age of thirteen and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. We require registered users of the Website to be at least eighteen years old.  If we learn that a user is under eighteen years of age, we will promptly delete any personal data that the individual has provided to us.

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically and without prior notice to you to reflect changes in our personal data practices.  We will post a notice on the Website to notify you of any significant changes to our Privacy Policy and indicate at the bottom of the notice when it was most recently updated.
