Peter Thompson

Managing Director, Asia Pacific

Mr. Thompson manages all sales, marketing and operations activities related to Asia Pacific for DataCore Software.

Mr. Thompson brings 15 years of experience building businesses in Asia, specializing in Japan. He joined DataCore in 2000 when he was brought on to perform due diligence on DataCore's strategy entering the Asia Pacific marketplace. Mr. Thompson began his career in Japan with Inabata & Co., a 200 year old, international trading company based in Osaka, where he was in charge of sales and new business development mainly for the semiconductor industry. He was the first non-Japanese employee to be transferred to their Tokyo headquarters finishing his 10-year career with them as sales manager for their Silicon Valley branch.

His fluency in Japanese and experience negotiating contracts has helped DataCore get a firm hold in the typically hard to penetrate Japanese market.
