Staff Software Development Engineer 

As the Staff Software Development Engineer at Perifery, you will report to our CTO – Media & Entertainment Solutions and will be the driving force behind our ambitious AI projects.  This role puts you in the epicenter of coding, assists with architecting the blueprint, and building and leading a diverse brigade of developers, both locally and remotely. Your prowess in Python, JavaScript, front-end frameworks, and cloud services will be the cornerstone of our project successes.

Duties:

  •        Design, develop, and deploy AI utilities with a primary focus on on-premises tools and models
  •        Collaborate closely with the AI and Media & Entertainment Sales team to ensure the software aligns with client needs and industry standards
  •        Spearhead and mentor a dynamic developer team, championing a culture of relentless innovation and learning
  •        Champion integration when needed with cloud platforms like AWS and GCP, ensuring our solutions are both robust and scalable
  •        Stay plugged into the latest in open-source AI tools and models, ushering them into our ecosystem as needed
  •        Solid understanding of front-end frameworks, including React and Angular
  •        Expertise in building applications that interact with cloud services like AWS and GCP
  •        Familiarity with open-source AI tools and models
  •        Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience in leading technical teams
  •        Ability to adapt and learn new technologies rapidly
  •        Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  •        Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  •        Ability to travel up to 15-20% of the time

Education/Experience:

  •        Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent experience
  •        5 – 8 years of software development experience with Python and JavaScript
  •        3 – 5 years experience working in the Media & Entertainment industry required
  •        1 – 3 years experience working in the healthcare industry a plus
