“As it virtualizes all physical storage, we can upgrade our equipment in small steps. i.e. we don’t need to buy a new all-flash-super-performing array – we can start with replacing one RAID group with SSD drives and create a new tier on it.”
"DataCore SDS Protects your Most Valuable Asset – Your Data"
“We only used Standard RAID Controller Systems before changing to DataCore. We first used with DataCore Standard RAID Controller Systems, too. But with the storage mirror functionality, the problems of those controllers were solved, directly. We encountered a disk firmware error on both node sides at the same time for 14 of 250 HDDs. Some RAID arrays were damaged. We solved the problem WITHOUT any data loss and outage, thanks to DataCore.”
“Robust and reliable solution.”
What other solutions did you evaluate before choosing DataCore?
“HP 3PAR, too expensive, VMWare VSAN, didn’t fit all the needed storage features.”
"DataCore Simplifies Your Migration to a Software-Defined Datacenter"
“Since DataCore doesn’t differentiate between the storage presented, integration of new storage types is very easy. With the capabilities and the logic being inside of DataCore, the storage ASICs are less important. Raw performance throughput and connectivity play a much stronger role than before.”
The Better Features Are The Synchronous Replication And The Management Console
How has it helped my organization?
Previously, we had some Windows and Linux servers with direct-attached storage. Our server's farm increases faster than our server room. So, we thought about virtualizing our applications. We chose to use VMware ESXi and DataCore SANsymphony to create our new infrastructure and then began to deploy our infrastructure on one server room. Then in 2018, we chose to dispatch them for more security in two server rooms.
What is most valuable?
- The better features are the synchronous replication and the management console. - The synchronous replication gives us the ability to make business continuity planning. - I like the management console which is very easy to use.
"Software Defined Storage - easy as pie"
What do you like best?
The software is easy to install, easy to manage and is stable. The company has been using this product for almost two decades now and have very few issues. Our downtime is almost zero for volumes served to our customers. The application is windows based and functions really well, very stable. I don't have to think about redundancy, having two systems built to mirror each other takes care of that. If one side is down, customers stay connected on the secondary active side.
"A Real Virtualization of a Server"
“We have worked with this tool in the creation and configuration of servers, as well as analysis of the functioning of all the parts of the same, creating efficient system reports.”
"Secure and speed up your storage with DataCore"
What do you like best?
DataCore SANsymphony allows fast access to your storage, and you can aggregate all your old storage bays. It can replicate your data between servers on other sites. Integration with vSphere is very easy and replicated connections are well managed.
"Implementation Can Be Complicated At First But Well Worth It The Out Of Box Features!"
“The completely storage agnostic solution has been a great value add to our Infrastructure. We implemented DataCore as the storage solution for mainly our small to medium sites using VMware as the Hypervisor, and it has been a success in each deployment. The management GUI makes the storage environment completely transparentm which has given us confidence in its HA, Redundancy, auto-tiering and replication capabilities.”
"SANsymphony has good stability and easy to manage. Deployments are smooth"
“Our rep is great, he is very knowledgeable about the product and our deployments have been very smooth. No issues migrating to new hardware/software versions. As MS server improves so does the stability of the product.”
"DataCore SANsymphony - Fast and Secured Storage"
“Our storage is at a next level with DataCore. You can easily use lots of storage vendor with DataCore, your migration is more flexible.”
