As a member of the field sales operations team, the Manager – Order Management (OM) has responsibility for managing tier 2 activities through the order fulfillment cycle. He/she will respond to customer inquiries by researching status for shipments, license history, and other contract and process aspects. The Manager – Order Management is the key link in communication with our internal and external channel partners for any order/inventory questions. He/she is required to work with various departments and provide the best customer assessment based on purchasing history and design appropriate sales calculations according to the individual customer need and ensure that every order is processed and delivered on time. He/she will manage the daily activities of the OM team.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Calculate and prepare of sales quotes, as well as order processing via the CRM tool (, this includes net new, renewals, CSP, upgrade orders, evals, NFRs, and migrations
  • Conduct license delivery, customization, and research
  • Update renewal records including generating renewal lines, renewal opportunities, and RAD (Renewal Anniversary Date) changes
  • Update the OCM (Order Management) tool on a daily basis
  • Communicate and support various internal and external divisions (Sales, Customer Success, Support, Distribution)
  • Create reports related to sales performance, sales diversification, and customer base
  • Maintain and update the database with customer information
  • Perform domain specific projects
  • Serve as a team lead for OM inquiries

Essential skills and experience required:

  • Hands on experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent mathematical understanding with great attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required
  • Proactive and excellent problem-solving ability

Education / Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics and/or work education in foreign commerce preferred
  • 5-8 years’ work experience in Order Management, Bid Desk, Finance, Inside Sales or Customer Success required
  • IT and private industry experience preferred
  • Experience managing people preferred
