Press Release

DataCore to Demonstrate Parallel I/O Technology and Unveil Second Generation Universal VVol Support at VMworld 2016

Presentations from DataCore and Technology Alliance Partners to Highlight Performance, Hyper-Convergence and Virtualization Features

DataCore Software
is the leading provider of Software-Defined Storage and Adaptive Parallel I/O Software. The company is a Silver Sponsor of VMworld 2016 and will be
exhibiting in booth #2406. DataCore will have more than 20 staff members on hand at the event, including executives, technical specialists from the product
and field teams, and the channel team.

Visitors to the DataCore booth at VMworld will be able to experience the power of the company’s unique Parallel I/O technology and learn how the technology can help increase the performance of
Tier-1 business applications for higher productivity, as well as consolidate infrastructure. In today’s environments, 61% of companies experience
unacceptably slow applications after virtualizing apps, with 77% naming I/O problems as the culprit. DataCore’s customers experience sub-millisecond
response for their most latency-sensitive and I/O-intensive Tier 1 workloads, and I/O problems and slow storage are eliminated by incorporating DataCore
software into the existing environment. This means that customers get the industry’s fastest response times at the lowest cost.

DataCore will also be unveiling and demonstrating the second generation of its universal vSphere Virtual Volumes (VVols) software technology at VMworld.
The company is the only VMware-certified software vendor supporting universal VVols functionality. The powerful new capabilities being introduced allow
VVols to work across a wide range of other vendors solutions and all types of storage, including disk subsystems, flash/SSD arrays, DAS, etc. DataCore adds
the ability to provide a universal control plane allowing the instrumentation and administration of virtual machine-based storage policies to be easily
managed across a combination of new and existing storage infrastructures from one or many vendors.

On Monday, August 29th, Carlos Carreras, DataCore’s senior vice president of strategic alliances and worldwide business development, will be
presenting “Next-Generation Infrastructure Consolidation: Going Beyond Server Virtualization.” Server virtualization was limited in simplifying and
consolidating data center infrastructure due to performance concerns with applications and I/O. In this session, Carreras will show how to get industry
leading I/O response times and the best price/performance in order to reduce and simplify and organization’s infrastructure. This session will be held in
Theater B of the VMworld Solutions Exchange Theater at 1:50 – 2:10 PM.

Additionally, DataCore will be hosting presentations at its booth focused on performance, VVols, hyper-convergence and virtualizing Microsoft SQL Server,
as well as featuring guest speakers from DataCore’s alliance partners. As a VMware Technology Alliance Partner, DataCore’s software solutions offer the
most comprehensive storage software that complements server virtualization by eliminating storage challenges and providing adaptive performance, high
availability and unified storage management. DataCore SANsymphony software offers a full
integration suite which includes:

  • SANsymphony plug-in for VMware vCenter
  • VMware SRM Storage Replication Adapter (SRA)
  • VMware vStorage APIs for Array Integration (VAAI) support for:

– Full copy

– Block zeroing

– Hardware-assisted locking functions

– Space reclamation services
