DataCore to Present `How to Incorporate Hyperconvergence, SAN and Cloud Storage’ at Software-Defined Infrastructure Summit

Sessions will Focus on Powerful Real-World Applications for Software-Defined Storage and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL – November 23, 2015 – DataCore Software, a leader in Software-Defined Storage and Hyper-converged Virtual SAN solutions, today announced it will be presenting multiple sessions at the upcoming Software-Defined Infrastructure (SDI) Summit taking place from December 1-3, 2015 in Santa Clara, California.

On Tuesday, December 1st, Senior Director of Product Marketing Sushant Rao will present “Using SDS to Combine Hyperconverged and Cloud Storage with a SAN” from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in Session SDS-4: Applications. During this presentation, Rao will discuss how Software-Defined Storage can combine an existing SAN with hyperconverged and cloud storage to accelerate applications, making them highly available at reduced costs, combating the introduction of more storage silos which create “islands of data.”

On Wednesday, December 2nd, Rao will be an instructor in the Customer Plenary on Implementing SDI from 11:10 a.m. -12:10 p.m. Rao will discuss how Mission Community Hospital used Software-Defined Storage to safeguard patient data, optimally store all of its medical information and accelerate access to applications involved in patient care.

At 3:25-4:30 p.m. that day, Rao will present “How SDI Helps You Incorporate Hyperconvergence into Your Infrastructure” as part of Session A-101: Hyperconvergence (Hardware Track). Companies are often unprepared for events that will cause outages in their infrastructure and need to put systems and procedures in place to deal with these emergencies. Software-Defined Storage has shown great promise in creating multi-layered solutions that help companies ensure their data is available and accessible. In his presentation, Rao will outline the different events that can affect data, and provide more information on the options for protecting data from outages and putting together a complete solution.

Also at 3:25-4:30 p.m., Senior Director Haluk Ulubay will present “Software-Defined Storage Makes Business Sense” during Session B-101: Enterprise Data Centers (Data Centers Track). Ulubay will discuss how Software-Defined Storage software can improve the utilizations of storage resources so that companies can optimize and right-size to meet their needs. He will overview the limitations and inflexibility that hardware presents and how software can allow the latest innovations like Flash-memory SSDs to be easily incorporated into the infrastructure without having to “rip and replace” existing storage investments.

DataCore will also be exhibiting in booth #306 at the SDI Summit which will be held at the Santa Clara Convention Center. The event will highlight how SDI software technology is transforming data centers worldwide, bringing a new approach to efficiently managing workloads running on hundreds, or thousands, of servers and storage devices housed within a data center, or reaching across a network.
