DataCore Software Announces Americas Distribution Agreement with Ingram Micro to Feed Growing Appetite for Virtualization Savings

More VARs in More Territories to Deliver “Do More with Less” Combo: DataCore Storage Virtualization and Fail-Safe High Availability Solutions for Virtual Machines and Desktops.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida – January 14, 2009 – DataCore Software, the leading vendor of storage virtualization software, today announced that they have entered into a distribution agreement with Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the world’s largest technology distributor. Under terms of the agreement Ingram Micro will distribute DataCore’s full line of software solutions throughout North and South America.

“We are very pleased to enter into this agreement with DataCore,” said Jodi Honore, vice president, vendor management for Ingram Micro. “DataCore is an enabling software product that our resellers can add to their arsenals, providing their customers with a solution set to virtualize their disks and achieve greater utilization of their storage investment.”

DataCore solves the storage riddle begged by server and desktop virtualization: “How can I overcome the storage bottleneck, performance and high availability challenges that become critical when many servers or desktops are consolidated into but a few physical machines, without blowing my budget for this virtualization project?”

“The answer,” according to George Teixeira, president and CEO, DataCore Software, “is that DataCore adapts your storage to these requirements, allowing you to do more with less, and leaving the physical storage purchasing decisions up to you, your timing and your budget. We are very pleased that the world’s largest technology distributor, Ingram Micro, is teaming up with us to help bring this message to an even larger audience.”

Storage Virtualization and True Auto-Failover/Failback Protection

DataCore storage virtualization solutions run on any standard physical or virtual server, and are ideally suited for virtual machine and virtual desktop environments. Providing true, auto-failover/failback high-availability at prices starting under $10,000 (MSRP), they are affordable to SMB customers, but scale to meet the needs of even the most demanding enterprise customers. In SANmelody(tm), DataCore provides a cost-effective, feature rich SAN solution that includes automated storage management, high availability, disaster recovery and thin provisioning. SANsymphony(tm) is DataCore’s enterprise solution that enables Continuous Data Protection (CDP) and meets the advanced needs of larger organizations in terms of capacity, performance and scalability.

Today, thousands of businesses and Global 2000 data centers rely upon DataCore for the storage protection, performance, flexibility and ease of movement and administration that virtual server and desktop environments demand – and which only a virtualization solution itself can provide.
