Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Munich, Germany – April 1, 2011 – DataCore Software, the industry’s premier provider of storage virtualization software, announced the appointment of two new directors for the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, Africa). Iris Hatzenbichler-Durchschlag will lead and manage all marketing activities in the region. In addition, Joerg Schweinsberg will direct all distribution activities across Europe. With these promotions, DataCore Software has synchronized its organization for a steady growth in Europe, where the company expects a continued yearly growth of 30 to 40 percent.
Joerg Schweinsberg’s will lead and unite EMEA-wide distribution partner management with a focus on improving partner recruitment, training and development, as well as streamlining sales operations to enhance overall sales. Formerly, Joerg led distribution and partner management across Central Europe. He will also work with distribution to drive DataCore efforts to expand and develop a much larger footprint in the Nordics and Eastern European markets for DataCore’s storage virtualization software.
Joerg has an excellent understanding of DataCore and partner needs, both from his experience within the company and from having sold or supported DataCore™ solutions since 2000 from a partner’s perspective. Before he joined DataCore as Technical Account Manager in early 2006, he worked as head of the Munich office at IT systems integrator CEMA AG, one of DataCore’s strongest partners in the region. Prior to his engagement at CEMA, he worked as consultant for Topas Informationstechnologie GmbH. Joerg holds a diploma in computer science. He is married and lives in the Munich area. He spends his leisure time enjoying sports activities such as skiing and running.
DataCore has also appointed Iris Hatzenbichler-Durchschlag to the new position of Director Marketing & Operations EMEA. Iris joined the DataCore marketing team in 2000 as Marketing Manager Central Europe and later her role expanded across all of Europe. She will work closely with Joerg Schweinsberg to coordinate DataCore’s growing marketing impact across EMEA and to align them closely with the channel activities and field marketing operations of the company. In addition, she is responsible for aligning marketing plans and efforts between DataCore’s corporate and EMEA marketing teams – an important position as the marketing team has more than doubled during the last two years. Iris holds a diploma in economics. She lives in Munich, Germany and in Austria. Iris is married and has a 16-month-old son.
