DataCore Awarded 5-Star Rating in CRN 2018 Partner Program Guide

CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, recently awarded DataCore Software with a 5-Star rating in its 2018 Partner Program Guide. The 5-Star Partner Program Guide rating recognizes an elite subset of companies that offer solution providers the best partnering elements in their channel programs. DataCore has consistently received this rating every year since 2010 in recognition of our partner program.

To determine the 2018 5-Star ratings, The Channel Company’s research team assessed each vendor’s partner program based on investments in program offerings, partner profitability, partner training, education and support, marketing programs and resources, sales support and communication. “Finding the right technology vendor to partner with can be a daunting task, given the vast array of choices now available to solution providers,” said Robert Faletra, Executive Chairman of The Channel Company. “CRN’s Partner Program Guide and 5-Star ratings help them narrow the field and find the best fit, identifying the most rewarding partner programs and providing crucial insight into their strengths and benefits. We are pleased to present our 2018 PPG list, recognizing the strongest and most successful partner programs in the channel today.”

At DataCore, we wanted to take the opportunity to discuss what our organization feels it takes to consistently be a “5-Star” partner.  First and foremost, DataCore allows our partners to lead the conversation with their customers that are looking for innovative software-defined storage and hyperconverged architectures. Our software-only approach enables partners to go into deals with a highly competitive solution, a lower cost and a differentiated approach to solving customer challenges. Furthermore, DataCore allows partners to sell into their existing installed base with critical features like high availability and disaster recovery, application performance and a centralized management tool.

DataCore Software lead registration allows our partners to receive rich margins plus $5 to $7 drag along fees from hardware sales. Beyond financial incentives, DataCore offers generous training incentives to partners as well. Our channel enablement program has separate training and certifications for pre-sales and engineering teams. Training programs for new partners are complimentary for the first year, including sales professional training, solutions architect training, and our one week DCIE certification that teaches partners to install DataCore products and become a professional services partner. All of this training is a significant investment for DataCore, which we proudly share with our partner community because we understand that learning about how to solve a customer’s business problems using software can be a powerful differentiator for their business.

DataCore has also made it extremely easy to be a partner through activities such as providing leads through the DataCore Partner Portal, removing fees for new partners and for many existing renewals, and providing funding for joint partner events.

As a result, the DataCore partner program has experienced tremendous growth and we are thrilled to see its continued success!
